Interview with a 4-year-old

I stole this idea from a friend of mine and decided to start interviewing my daughter every year on her birthday.  I plan to ask the same questions every year to see how her answers change.  I’ll include this interview in her memory book and hope that one day she will look back at it with fond memories. 🙂

I think she enjoyed this as much as I did, because she kept asking me to come up with more questions, and then came up with a few of her own too!  Here it goes…

1. How old are you? – 4

2. What is your favorite color? – Pink

3. What is your favorite toy? – Princess (her baby doll)

4. What is your favorite food? – Macaroni and cheese (I think she is just super excited that she can actually eat this food again!) and Soup

5. What is your favorite dessert? – Brownies

6. What is your favorite vegetable? – Broccoli and Cauliflower

7. Who are your favorite friends? – Hailee and Matt

8.  What is your favorite thing to do? – Paint

9.  What was your favorite birthday gift? – Rapunzel play dough toy and swing set

10.  What is your favorite movie? – Dora

11.  What is your favorite book? – Bernstein Bears and Mickey Mouse Seek and Find

12. What is your favorite thing to wear? – Fancy “E” Dress

13.  What is your favorite flower? – Dandelion and Baby’s Breath

14.  What advice would you give to other little girls who are about to turn 4 years old? – If their dad were mowing the grass and they were under the wheels then they would get smooshed.

15.  What do you want to be when you grow up?  – Ballerina

While some of her answers really did not surprise me at all, others were quite a surprise!  I guess there will always be more to learn on this path of parenthood!  Enjoying every minute! 🙂

Oh she is so cute I could just eat her up!!!

This is a great idea! I once heard about a family that did this same sort of thing by video (digital or whatever). This enabled them to capture not only her words, but her voice and appearance as she matures over the years. Your daughter is so blessed to have you as her mommy!!!
